Installing GMC emblems on Chevy 67 fenders
 

I want to install GMC fender emblems on my 67 Chevy fenders, but the mounting pins are in different locations. Should I use on of the holes and drill the second hole to fit the GMC emblems, or drill two new ones?

if neither of them line up, I'd drill two new holes in the right place - if the emblem covers up the two old ones. If not, well, then, hmmm. I'd keep it a chev ;) (JUST kidding).
Bottom line - if it's not put in the original location, I believe it will be noticeable - or, at the very least, "something" just will look slightly "off". Guess it depends on how close the new hole would be to the old one. If you're talking 1/8", I'd say go for it, if you're talkin 1", I'd say drill new.

Take one or pieces of masking take, place on old GMC fender, poke through the old mounting holes. Take good measurements from old fenders to properly align on Chevy fender.
Make dots (w/ sharpy)on Chevy fender to mark place to drill. First stand back and look at holes for rpoper alignment, and measure spot placement comparing to old fenders...

Thanks for the replies gentlemen! I was surprised to find no threads on this. I was hoping to get a factory measurement of GMC badge placement, but my trashed GMC fenders are 67 with no holes. I figured one of the Chevy fender holes might line up correctly for the second GMC badge hole to be drilled.

There was a super rare Custom script emblem and the tall rectangle Custom emblem. But most '67s had no fender emblem. I have a set of '67 Super Custom Fenders but they aren't here to measure. I would be sure to put the emblems where GM did so it looks right. Hopefully someone will chime in
