DIY Headlight relay question/Clarification

I have searched all over it seems, and am hung up on one thing.

Making my own relay system, as it will be cheaper to do it myself once i get it down and then do to both trucks and my camaro.

Not splicing the original wire. Using the stock female drivers side plug for the signal from the switch into a new male 3 prong plug.

All posts and diagrams do not indicate what to do with the ground wire coming from the stock harness going into the new 3 prong plug harness. They only discuss the tan and green wire going to the relays.

Do i just let it terminate at the new male three prong plug? Remove the ground from the new 3 prong male and only run the tan and green? Or run it and ground it with the ground coming from that drivers side headlight.

I think terminate it and dont continue into new plug and harness, but sure as heck dont want to burn stuff up.

I have a picture of the new male three prong plug for reference, but am getting a security token error on my phone and lap top tryin to post it.

I cut the green and tan to feed the high / low relay's pin 86. What you have there should work, but I might be concerned about moisture or vibration.

Pin 85 gets grounded, you can use that ground or a new ground.

Pin 30 gets a wire from the battery. 16 gauge or larger (smaller numerically). Make sure you use a fuse, 20 amps should be good.

87 is output to the bulbs. I used new sockets with 14 or 16 gauge wire. Run both sides to the relay. I don't like the factory way of going to the drivers side first. I grounded the headlights to the body near each headlight with the same gauge wire as the positive side.

Since you are up front I'd ground straight back to the battery.

Can't emphasize the importance of a good solid, bullet proof ground, these relays will be the best improvement you can make to your lights.

I'm a huge fan of relays for all high draw systems.

So should I just remove the black ground wire from that harness leading to the relays?

Tie all your grounds from the relay and headlamps together via a junction block and ground straight to your battery neg post. See this diagram below only difference is tie all the grounds together at the battery.
