1972 K10 Shortbed West Coast Truck

5 Attachment(s)
1972 Custom 10 4 Wheel Drive.
350 4bbl / Granny Low 4 Speed
Medium Bronze / Parchment Interior
33" x 12.50" x 15" BF Goodrich All Terrains on GM 15"x 8" Steel Wheels with Hubcaps
Ultra Solid Body wearing most of its Original Paint.

I purchased this truck several years ago in Mira Loma, California. The man I bought the truck from bought it new, to use on his ranch. It was not running, and hadn't moved since 1991. Upon getting it home, I did get it to run, but, it was tired. I swapped the original engine, (which I still have), for a 50,000 mile, 350 four bolt main from a 1975 Motorhome. It runs great, and is trouble free.
I installed a gas tank that I had, and disconnected the "saddle tanks". While making the truck roadworthy, the following parts were bought new:
Battery, Radiator, Clutch and Pressure Plate, Water Pump, All hoses, Heater Core, Mufflers and tailpipes, "Red Head" Steering Gear (1976 Version), Alternator, and Rear Brakes. The truck also received a new windshield, dash pad, and seat cover. The heater controls have been rebuilt. All gauges work, (including the factory tach), as well as all of the lights. The radio lights up, but does not play. The horn, on occasion. The Drivers side door panel is incorrect, (higher trim level). The steering wheel is cracked, and needs restored, or replaced. The tires, though having full tread, are older, and showing cracks.
The truck runs and drives well. The turn signals still cancel. The brakes work as they should. It is quiet, and not a rattletrap. Four wheel drive works fine.
This truck was used as a tool. So, even though it is not rusty, it has its fair share of dents and scratches. The cab is great, with perfect rockers, and uncut dash. I have pictures of the dash and pinch weld, from when I installed the new windshield. Perfect, and rust free. Both fenders are good, but beat up, (passenger side is the worst with larger dents). Hood is good, as are the doors. The drivers door was replaced at some time in its life. Bed sides are rust free, but various dents. Tailgate is nice, but has dents as well. The bed floor is covered with surface rust, and is crusty from use.
This truck can be enjoyed as is, or great candidate for restore, it's up to you.
I can answer any questions about the truck. I have a full shop, with a lift, so if more pics are wanted just ask.
Clear Illinois Title.
Delivery available for a fee.
Not really interested in trades.
$9250 o.b.o.
