Tire size on 6 lug rally wheel
 

Guys,

Hope all is well for you. So I have the original rims with PO1 wheel cover currently on my 69. A few weeks ago a close friend of mine found me 4 OEM older used 6 lug rally wheels with the rings and newer style Chevy Bow tie center caps. Of course for the price I jumped on them. They are standard 15x8 and in really nice condition. I have a stock longbed 69 and don’t plan to change th height at all. So I have seen some trucks go with 255/70/15 front with 275/70/15 rear, I don’t know if that works out for stock trucks. Thoughts on tire sizes for my truck, that will work for a stock truck but to also fill out the wheel wells some....I plan also to keep the other wheels covers and rims as well but wanted to ride with some rally’s for a bit. Anyway sorry so long, thanks for suggestions. BTW I do try to respond when I can but when at work can’t so thanks in advance for the help!

Always a good look with rally wheels. Im running 235/70r15 front and 275/60r15 rears. These are both 28" tall. I used a spindle drop in the front(2.5") and 4" lowering spring rear for a 1.5 gap all around wheelwell.
I think we may be close neighbors? Dunnellon here.

I use the same tire sizes front and back on my rallyes too...

If those tires fit a lowered truck they'll fit yours. And yes, they will fit. You know you can always pop those wheelcovers on the rallyes when you want a change, don't you?

If you are going with a completely stock look you are going to need to go with 235/75R15...

I recently switched my stock height truck to 15x8 and went 255/70 all the way around. I like the look.

the 275s in the rear look really good on lowered trucks. stock heigth or even a slight drop looks good with 255-70-15

Thanks guys for the replies and no I didn’t know about the wheel covers going over the rally’s, but it makes complete sense.... Thanks for the info so far guys!

Here are the P01 wheel covers over 15 x 7 rallys with 235/75 15's all the way around. My suggestion is if you want a stock look to get the rallys painted so the white shows when the P01's are on the truck and run 255/70 R15 on those 15 x 8 rallys. I have a set of 15 x 8 rallys on hand and when my 235/75 15's are done I will be putting 255/70's on the 15 x 8 rallys with the P01's

I am putting 255/70/15s on the 15x8 rally's as well. Tires are bought wheels are being powder coated white to match the bottom of my 68 long bed 50th. I am also dropping the front 2 1/2 and the back 2". I hope to have it all back together this spring.

I have 235/70's all the way around on my 6 lug rallys. I think they fill out the wheel wells nicely.
