Window channel

1950 truck, no vent window.

I'm ordering all new door glass and seals but I need some clarification. My doors have a metal channel the glass is in. It rattles I'm guessing felt was originally in it right?

I'm looking online and I'm not sure if what you buy are new channels with felt or rubber in them or if you buy the felt/rubber and insert into the old metal channel.

One video looked like option 1 and some reviews sounded like option two.

the old channel comes out. it looks like accordian boot and is super thin steel. when you buy a new felt kit (buy the KIT, with the channels, the inner felts and the outer wipers) you will see that the new channel is that same accordian boot with felt on it.

Should I get this?

that is for the frame around the glass, if you need to replace the glass. I have had good luck reusing the old setting tape but sometimes I urethane the windows in, its easier than pounding on the glass edge to get the window seated enough to assemble.

joedoh is correct. The window channels come with the felt installed inside them.
