I put up with my shop looking like the first pic for the last couple of years. This week, i decided enough. That and my grandbabies want to have a Disco Dance Party in Grandpa's shop Friday night. My old ass is dragging, but I am smiling. Yes,,,, i do smile,,, occasionally.

Congratulations! I need to do the same thing, but it's daunting even to consider.

Looks good. I wish mine was that clean. I noticed you got a new sandblaster from HF. I got one a couple of weeks ago works well. But I found out that you HAVE to run the ball valve wide OPEN all the time on the nozzle end of the hose or it will eat through the brass valve within 100lbs of media. I had been using that valve to adjust pressure while blasting and it didn't last too long. $5.00 fix but lesson learned.

Looks great! Now, how many times will you go searching for something that you once knew exactly where it was? ;)

One of my customers bought one and he made an orifice to but in the valve coming out of the tank that helped with that issue. I have not tried it yet as you can tell. Thanks, Fred.

I have been *****ing about how my shop looked for a couple of months,,, I finally just took the time and did it. It was not easy, but I am sure glad I did.

I went out in the shop today, gave it a good look over, fired the truck up and forgot all about any sort of straightening up, which is months overdue too. ;)

I was/am in the same boat as you guys,, I will do it later. I am going to try to be a little better steward of the shop my wife had built for me. Plus I am getting a lot more people coming to the shop for parts and I don't want to be considered "that filthy place".

Ugh, everyone hates a show off lol. Nice job! Ive been out of work since before Thanksgiving. I made a list of everything I wanted to accomplish before I went back to work January 2, and clean the shop was high on my list. I did get a lot of things done, but not the shop ... Maybe in 2019?

Shop cleaned up nicely. Now can we see a picture of the pile out back?

My shop is a mess and it's not even built yet. This week I've been putting up a little carport. I wanted to do the slab first but decided to move forward and use some time I had. I am building the thing around my son's '98 Ranger and the stack of lumber & metal roof. My other son's '86 K5 is right next to the Ranger, so piers/posts went in between. Not enough room for a wheelbarrow. I've spent as much time 'engineering' ways to work around the obstacles as I have on building it. I hope this isn't a sign of the future!

Actually, most of it sold, and what did not condensed down to three big totes that fit nicely under my benches. A lot of it was just,,,, stuff...

Re: Enough.....

Much better! Last step is to go through the shelves and TOSS everything that you have there that you can easily replace. I mean don't throw away a Ram Air IV tach dash, but at some point empty shelf and counter space is worth MORE than the stuff that prevents you from having it! Same if you can buy a new on RockAuto and doubt you'll ever need the one you have, etc.

Also, the hardest thing for me is when NEW stuff comes into the shop and I don't have a place for it. Having some empty space always means there's somewhere for the "new thing" to go!
