Radiator installation question

Bought an Entropy radiator and it has arrived. When I ordered it, I recalled seeing somewhere it needed the 4 row radiator mounting brackets. The 60-66 trucks don't have HD or 4 row option from what I can find (looking through the assembly manuals and shop manuals). This brings the question, what mounts am I to use? What have others here done? The tank measures 2.75 inches deep and the original brackets are 2.1 inch. I don't really want to tear the original bracket metal by bending them open/flat and then re-bend to fit.

Next question: The picture (hope it shows up) is of the original mounting location for a straight 6, manual transmission (lower brackets are still installed) I'm assuming the upper "square" bolt holes are for an automatic, and V8 radiator mounting location. This assumption is based on the fact the radiator will absolutely not fit between the frame rails without cutting frame rails. I am also assuming the upper radiator support is the V8 and actually bends up and then over, not straight over and down on to the radiator like the 6cyl small radiator did. Does anyone know if the one offered by LMC is the V8 support? Also, does the upper need to be widened as well to fit the 2.75 inch tanks?

Re: Radiator installation question

60-62 bolted to the radiator support and 63-66 used the brackets. The 6 cylinder postion was down in between the frame and the v8 set foward and up on top of the frame. Dont forget to figure in for your radiator cushions in the mount too.

Oh yeah, definitely not going to overlook the cushions 62Chevy302. That would be a bad thing.

Did hear back from LMC regarding the lower brackets. They say their brackets measure 2-3/4 without the cushion and about 2 inches with the cushions. The upper support I'm still waiting to hear if that is for a V8. Going to try and open the brackets I have and re-bend them. Will certainly be interesting.
