Drop spindles and brake hoses

I put a square body front suspension in my 65 frame and used 3" drop spindles. It's all 1" lighter duty brakes. At first I got the wrong hoses for 1 1/4" brakes. Today I got the proper hoses but they don't fit. The upper ball joint interferes with the metal end on the hose and it won't lay flat on the caliper where it bolts. I'm sure others have run into this but what's the solution?

I used inline tubes braided lines. I will snap a pic later and post it. I still need to put a bracket on the hose though

are you running them forward like the 73-87's or rearward like the were with the drums. The do need to go forward and on mine they needed a little bending near the banjo fitting.

Forward like the square body. I’ll try carefully bending that metal end. The way it is now I can’t even start the banjo bolt.
