1948 Window frame
The 48 window glass has a metal frame that goes around it. There are bolts, one in each end where the run that goes around the glass bolts to the bottom piece that is then screwed to the lift mechanism.
I am looking for those 2 small flush bolts, but 1) what to call those two little bolts (I call them "barrel" bolts, but I just don't know) and 2) where can you get them? Thanks |
Re: 1948 Window frame
Search for barrel nut or sex bolts.
MSC has a selection and probably others. https://www.mscdirect.com/browse/tnp...778+4287158295 |

Re: 1948 Window frame
They are VERY unique bolts, get the right ones from a truck parts supply place. I think I got mine from the "Filling station" truck parts.

Re: 1948 Window frame
I don't know. My windows and frames are from a 48.
I didn't think the 53's had the metal frame around the window. |
