Fender Jack Bracket - Where to get new retention nut?

1 Attachment(s)
Does anyone know of a source to get the round retention slip nut for the Fender Jack Bracket Hold Down? I'm talking about the round nut that is in the MIDDLE of the bolt in the attached pic. This is the nut that snugs the bolt up to the fender so that it stays put when you take the wingnut off to remove the Jack / lug wrench, etc.

What in heaven are these things called (Flat Round Speed Nut?), and where in the world do I get one that isn't twisted and kinked up?

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

Take the bolt to a hardware store and find a self locking nut that fits and a matching flat washer.
Possible they will have one of those magic OEM type nuts in the automotive part of the weird hardware bins.

I have one you're welcome to have.
2 problems
I'm in Australia
The postage would be triple the price of the item itself.

Thanks, but yeah the shipping would be a ton, I would think.

I really am trying to keep it looking stock as possible, which is why I'm looking for this round style that GM used in certain areas. I'm not even sure they make them anymore. I am not going to use a locking nut, unless I can find one that is black so it will blend in. I saw some square style flat speed nuts at lowes which might work... but figured someone here might know of a source.

I still have my originals, but they are rusty looking and bent all out of whack.

They are called that, because they are intended for rapid assembly with little to no proper alignment needed, just slap it down and let the driver draw it in. Its all twisted up becuase the twist flattens a bit when you tighten it and that effectively locks it in place (spring tension). [better add: you don't crank them down until they are flat, just tighten it up, other wise it'll deform and do nothing]

Alex.
