WTB: 503 green tailgate
 

Looking for a 503 green tailgate for my 67. Mine is rusted and bent like no other. Doesn’t have to be pretty, just straight and no rust through. I don’t mind surface rust as this is a Montana patina truck. As soon as I figure out how to post pics, I will post. Thanks guys!

Have a average condition 503 green tailgate off my '67. Has minor dents and holes for factory trim. Not twisted or bent.

That's what I'm looking for. Not sure about trim on it, as there is no trim on my truck, but at least yours is straight. What would your price be? Shipping might be pretty steep for this too. But one never knows until the question is asked. If you can get a quote to 44883, that would be much appreciated. Fastenal ships, I've heard, almost anything on a pallet for a flat rate if you have one of them close to you. There is a Fastenal store ten minutes from my house. Thank You!

I'd do $100.00 plus shipping unless you know someone local to me I'd do $50.00 picked up from Colorado Springs. I used the latch system on my new gate so tailgate is bare. I'm currently away from home so is going to be about two weeks before I can get this shipped if you are still interested. Could get you more-better pictures at that time as well.

If it matters I have both front fenders in the passenger door from this truck as well. None of them are particularly nice but they are usable.

Just wanted to let you know I didn't forget about you. I had surgery six weeks ago that is had a couple of complications. I'm not cleared for any serious lifting for another couple weeks. As soon as I get the OK I'll get you some numbers on the tailgate. Thanks for the patience,

No problem at all. Your health and recovery is more important than a tailgate. I’m in no rush. Whenever is fine with me. Hope your recovery is a good one and no more complications. I know too much about those and surgeries. Take care.

OK, here's some detail pics on the tailgate. Couple dents in the area of the tailgate letters, cracks in the area above The latch handle opening, and a small dent at the top as shown in the pictures. The gate is straight top and bottom and not twisted. There are no rust holes or rust through anywhere. A typical solid Colorado tailgate that way. Latch and hinge pockets aren't damaged and are in unusually good condition. I believe the paint to be original. If it looks like something you want to move forward on let me know and I'll take it to work and get a shipping quote.
