5/16"-18 usage goes back into the 50s. I can go get an exact length in a minute. 1/2" Long flange head with a star washer.

Same bolts I believe that fasten the track to the seat frame. Stole all my bolt from the underside of another seat. Shiny!

Exactly. I kept mine separated and they are shinny compared to the floor units. :lol:
Bolt Barn on eBay has 5/16"-18 Flange Head bolts by the way. ;)

According to an American parts book. 5/16-18 . 3/4" long with a 3/8" hex. washer head ( non Standard ) incorporated star washer. Cadmium plated . POINT D which is self tapping 442751 0riginal part number. This is the closest I can find after checking mine on 3 1963's.

Comparing the parts book to the Rocknrod example , they must consider overall length of 3/4" not the standard measurement of under the head to end of screw. Therefore if you want bolts that will fit the correct dimension would be in the 1/2" range as stated. A 5/16 bolt would have a 1/2" hex head usually. Thread diameter plus 3/16 is the usual head indicator in the smaller bolts.

Now days it's hard to find a captured or incorporated star washer flange bolt. At least I haven't been successful.
