If you're asking about shop rate, that will vary by area, but in my area it seems to be between $75 and $100 per hour. I do all my own work, so that's going off of what other people have told me they've been charged.

If you’re asking how much you have to pay one of your buddies to help do a job I usually charge based off the work and how good of a friend they are. Coworkers I generally get $100 for whatever I do like brakes or replacing a leaf spring. When I did a tune up on my buddies 71 K20 I told him what kind of pizza to order and to get a case of mt dew.

Professional Shops have their standard shop rates, because they have bills to pay. So when you get an estimate it’ll include the hourly labor. In SC, the rates run between $89 and $120/hr. I’m having a much recommended shop replace my rockers (remove, replace, and primer in) for $750, which I think is very fair.
