64 c10 window seals

2 Attachment(s)
Today I replaced the window seals on my 64 c10 and the rail that locks into the regulator and is glued to the glass is pushing up on the felts in the door. Basically the window can’t go up all the way to contact the new seals has anyone run into something similar or am I doing something wrong? Thanks in advance.

There are several threads on here about this problem it is usually the outside one I did to things I ground the Chanel about 60 degrees then I bent the flang out on the door to give it more clearance it’s not you it’s the trucks

Don't feel pregnant, there is a lot of info on these threads but the only thing I actually see/read anywhere was either they put a piece of foam as a spacer behind the top of the window channel, or bent out the outside surface of where the outer felt attaches before installing glass and felt.

Re: 64 c10 window seals

I just did the vent window seals and installed all the glass this morning, used Precision beltline weatherstrips and have the same issue. Can’t roll the window all the way up. What a pain.

I did swap these strips out about 8 years ago with the cheaper Counterpart strips, and although they don’t seal to the glass worth a damn, they didn’t interfere with it going all the way up. In fact the glass had space around it. I might order up some Counterpart ones until a better product is found. Fairchild apparently? But not confirmed...

Just wondering, what brand did you use? And did you install these strips first? before putting the glass on the rollers and the front and rear channels? They are a pain to install at the end.
