Glove box won't latch unless slammed shut

I read one other person talk about this on another forum, but only in passing. Would love to fix it, I hate that a latch is getting the better of me!

My '98 glove box won't stay shut unless firmly slammed. As a sanity check, I swapped out the glove box door with one from a junkyard, same result. I tried shifting the latch provision [_] up/down/over and it makes zero difference in how the thing shuts.

Anyone else experience this problem or find a solution for it?

:waah:

Yes, and I figured it out, but have forgotten what is was by now. Just watch the latch closely as it closes and you should figure it out eventually.
