96 c3500 low miles find
 

I found and bought this 1996 C3500 454 gasser dually the other day. It has 105k original miles, and has so many original parts that it's not funny. For being a Nebraska truck, there is only a small dime sized rust spot and it's surface only. It does need a new tailgate and a little dually fender work but other than that, it's in immaculate shape... All for $2200. I'd like to swap out the work truck grill and lights for a silverado grill with composite lights if that's possible.

Manual or automatic?

What did they do: take off the tailgate and bury it in a manure pile for 20 years? I wonder if it had a big cabover camper on it for a long time ????

It's an automatic. He let his friend practice doing something with some sort of platidip with the tailgate. I don't think it had a camper on it. I think it was just garaged for most of it's life and taken out from time to time for trips to homedepot and the like. He told me it never really worked or pulled a trailer.
