Where to source/ fabricate bench seat slider (equivalizer) wire?

During my seat rebuild I flip the bench over and find that the thin wire that connects the left and right sliders was broken. How can I effectively replace that? I don't think LMC sells it.

(picture for example thanks to TKCR's bench seat ad in the classifieds)

I made a replacement out of picture hanging wire. I cut it off and made an eye at the little spring, then ran the picture wire between the spring and the other side. Not ure if it was needed or not, but did mine with a double strand of the wire twisted together for strength. Sorry no pictures as I no longer have the truck I did it in.

Or you could just ask me, lol. I can send you one. Or you could get some small braided wire from Lowes, and make your own. And I also see them on EBay from time to time.

Acoustical ceiling hanging wire would work too..Million uses for it around the house.

Mine has a metal wire a little thicker than a coat hanger. It never pulls the pass side, just bends when I pull the drivers side handle. I was considering replacing it with wire cable / wire rope and crimping it to size.
