Interesting AD I saw at the Dream Machines show in Half Moon bay Ca.

This show is my favorite show of all time, as I call it, it's a "Celebration of transportation." There will be a low rider parked next to a 2 million dollar Ferrari next to a restored Model T next to a Delorian next to a top fuel dragster next to an Army Tank, you get what I am throwing here? It's awesome.
Anyway, this truck was pretty cool, not how I would do it, but well done and cool, it was right hand drive by the way. Brian |

Cool. That will just make my truck look that much better parked next to it.

The windshield and roof treatment is interesting. Fair weather car with no way to run windows that I can see and I tried that hardtopped look in 1982 and found out that it wouldn't work then.
He lost me with the donk rims though those are just one bad joke played on car and truck guys. |

Re: Interesting AD I saw at the Dream Machines show in Half Moon bay Ca.
A few years ago we spent the 4th of July in Park City Kansas and I had to run into Wichita to have a tire fixed. I was finding my way though what is no doubt the old part of town and a kid with a jacked up Impala/Caprice with genuine Donk wheels rolled out of the lot of a tire store with the paper stickers still on the tires as I passed and wheeled up the street past me and turned the corner. I turned the corner and headed up the street and he was pulled to the side of the street with a bent wheel and destroyed tire. He hadn't made it a mile when he hit a pot hole and busted the rim and tire. Probably blew close to a thousand bucks right there as fancy as the rims were.
Another time I was down at the tire store when a high school kid and his mom pull up and he digs what looked like a 22 or 24 out of the back of her rig and takes it into the store, bent rim and ruined tire with the tits still showing on the tire. No warranty add no road hazard on them they found out. Mama was not a happy camper having to shell out for another high dollar wheel and tire. |

Hey Brian, I was there in HMB as well, but didn't see you. Why? Maybe because I was too busy out on the Salty Lady, bringing in fresh Salmon. Hopefully next year I can find some time to drop by and say hi during the car show.
