Rear Shock Relocate Options?
2 Attachment(s)
So, I've only had this truck for a short time and I'm uncovering the little surprises 1 by 1 by 1...
The latest issue is the rear suspension. I knew it was riding rigid so I went down to the local shop to talk options. When we got underneath - I was blown away when I saw the missing chunk in the pics below. It's lowered but not slammed, and I will be replacing shocks all around for sure. I have a guy who can weld a slat on there for me, but I'm asking you Fellas what you would do if it was your truck. Any thoughts/comments would be appreciated. Thanks Fellas, -=RR=- |
Re: Rear Shock Relocate Options?
I’m thinking this might be my ticket:
http://nolimit.net/products#!/Droppe...tegory=6157547 Unless I’m missing something - this might be the way to go to avoid unnecessary mods to current leaf spring setup. Any thoughts on these folks and their products? Posted via Mobile Device |
Re: Rear Shock Relocate Options?
With that shock angle, you literally have no shocks.
I like their (no Limit) rear sway bar set up also. I have a CPP Unit now but am planning on swapping it out for theirs. However since your lowered you might consider the CPP rear cross member - http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=659584 It allows my rear end to bottom out in the C-notch before the third member touches the cross member. |

I'm looking at all options - and appreciate the response. I'll check it out. Thx again. |
Re: Rear Shock Relocate Options?
I have a 65 GMC frame out back and can get you pictures tomorrow of what the factory brackets looked like. That may give you an idea on a way to proceed. Not sure if its the picture angle but the drive shaft angle looks a bit steep.
