Frame Crossmember (with Knee Braces)
I am working on a 1947 (2) 3600. My frame crossmember that goes between the front mounts of the leaf springs - is shot! The "Knee Braces" are completely rusted out. I can't seem to find one anywhere, so thought I would fab one. I saw one a few months back that was ideal, but can't seem to find it now! My computer crashed, and I lost it....
So....anyone fab something up and have a photo or two? Thanks! |
Re: Frame Crossmember (with Knee Braces)
That made the old guy use all his search tactics. Between critical measurements of how high it needs to be where the radiator support sits and where the holes need to be This should give you some ideas on fabbing one https://www.speedwaymotors.com/Radia...kup,63704.html
You can take the measurements off what's left of your old one before you remove it as how far The surface where the core support bolts on is below the top of the frame rail. |
