I dont understand your question. You mean the battery tray?
There is a hole on the tray at the front and back (on the rad support) for the j-hook to go into. This thread has some stock type pics in it (although not all of them are stock) http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=628596
And from the looks of it you are not using a stock J-hook. So your question may have no answer unless you do it.

The threaded hook goes in a hole in the radiator support.

Also, I think you have your battery backwards. The posts should be towards the engine bay.

The longer bolt goes to the hole in battery tray. The shorter bolt goes in a hole in the radiator core support.
