What's this box on the core support?
1 Attachment(s)
Hey All,
Working on fixing some issues with my running lights/trailer lights and found this unconnected box in the process. Had a connector with several wires running to it, but none of them were connected to anything. It's got a ground running from it too. Says Wells on it. Thanks, Jeff |
Re: What's this box on the core support?
That's the external regulator for the alternator. I'm assuming you have a newer one wire alternator?

Re: What's this box on the core support?
The Flux Capacitor is just to the right of the mystery box.

And just left of the Unobtanium Dispensary!
Sorry I could not help myself, surely you will see we are a helpful, opinionated, fun sort. |

Howdy neighbor RodnRudy is right. I couldn't pass up a Flux Capacitor joke with a real capacitor in the picture.

Re: What's this box on the core support?
Evidently your alternator has been changed to an internal regulator model. That external regulator is no longer needed.

Yep, I had an engine swap done to a turnkey with new accessories. Thanks all. I've taken it off.

Looks like an S773M COPO Timing Box to me, very rare! Save it all! ;) Just kidding...
