Need help with EC disc conversion
Converting my 70 to disc.
https://scontent-sea1-1.xx.fbcdn.net...ab&oe=5DA07291 In the instructions (crappy pics) it says "break hose installs with the supplied banjo bolt". Well..... https://scontent-sea1-1.xx.fbcdn.net...43&oe=5DE006D7 Here is my old slave and the brake hose. https://scontent-sea1-1.xx.fbcdn.net...5a&oe=5DDE388D At least its looking good! LOL So what am I missing? How do I attach the brake hose? -Oh, and I called EC multiple times but I guess they stop answering the phone 15 minutes early on Fridays. ~JH |
Re: Need help with EC disc conversion
I'd guess the new flex hose attaches to the caliper with a banjo bolt and the other end via a flare fitting.

Re: Need help with EC disc conversion
I think my kit came with new hoses from ECE. But the previous poster is correct. Banjo bolt on caliper and other end mounts to stock line. A replacement T fitting came with my kit as well.

^^^
Thanks guys. Funny thing, I was telling my son "its harder doing part conversions because you are not directly replacing components and have to figure out all of the little things without first being able to see how they went together". I 'thought they were saying you should use your old hose and there was no way it would work. After doing a little research EC shorted me the hoses. No biggie. Im sure they will take care of it Monday..... (I really dig EC). ~JH |
