Stock 71/72 buckets in a burb?

Anyone ever put stock 71/72 truck bucket seats and console in a burb?

Not talking about the buddy bucket version for burbs, Ive seen plenty of those. And not talking about anything aftermarket or later model, Ive seen plenty of those too.

Buddies were only 67,68 and I’m sure you could get buckets stock. There’s a thread with a burb in Phoenix being parted that had buckets will see if on spid.

Basically Id just like to see a picture to see what it looks like. If anyone has a pic or has done it them self's. I think it would be a neat look. Stock buckets with console up front and bench bench in the rear.

Yes, buckets and console can be had from the factory in all years. (67-72) They had a hard plastic back like the blazers and fixed pass side like the trucks in 69-72

vs 'utility buckets' with the square shape and metal backs. A single utility bucket might have been standard in a panel. IDK. I don't know why but the information package, from the GM heritage center, doesn't show bucket seats being available in a Suburban for 1972.

Not the best pic. I had a large box sitting in the passenger seat. If you can't tell, I have green LED interior lamps. :mm:

I think it looks great. Wonder why more people don't do this?

Thanks for doing the research!!!

I wouldn't mind having a set of truck buckets (not buddies, been there done that) for future use but man they have become so expensive. Buy the seats and restore them and you could easily be in them two grand ... that's just crazy (to me).

Nice. What was the source of those buckets?
I have a '71 GMC Jimmy, and I need new[er] buckets. I have the Factory GMC Console, but my '80s Firebird/Camaro buckets are shot.
Actual, vintage-correct K/5 Buckets and Mounting Tracks are too rare now and too spendy for a DD.

If you plan ahead you can add seat heaters at the point of manufacture. I did this and it’s a nice upgrade.

The center console is from tuffy

Re: Stock 71/72 buckets in a burb?

Thanks Jbrownmxr -- I don't think Seat Heaters are all that popular in Tucson, AZ -- at least not in summer. Sometimes I've seen sales on TMI seats at Jeg's.
My Center Console is a proper GM unit with a GMC badge. No coffee cup holders and no lock, but it looks good and holds stuff.
