Truck will turn on, but not turn off !

Hello, I just recently replaced my broken in a thousand pieces dashboard with a mint OEM dasboard. My problem now is.... the truck will start, but not turn off. I have checked the Ignition starter switch rod and when I turn the key, It moves though all the proper positions. In the Off position my battery warning light stays ON, but when I start the truck....It turns Off.

I have a 1991 Sport Truck. Thanks for your help in advance.:waah:

sounds like the actual ignition switch is not adjusted properly. Sounds like it is in the on position when the key is in off position.
