No title and no floor. $2500. Pricy for a parts truck with not that many good usable parts.

I saw a cool 67 LWB yesterday, with a 383, 4 speed, bagged and epoxy primered.

Upon closer inspection the interior is very bland. More than that the body is splitting apart throughout. Bondo or something like, it's real bad. Guy wants 15K, he has 30K into it...........YIKES!

Truck in the OP is worth $100, IMO.

A little elbow grease and some rattle cans and that thing will sell for $75,000 at Barrett Jackson.

It's just crazy. I know the price on these old pickups is going up but geees. The only way I could see the value is if it was a short box. Even then your just buying the frame and box.

You can buy a whole new bed for $2,500. Don't get me started. The whole thing with prices is retarded anymore. He's probably flipping it. Coaxed the junkyard owners to sell it for double the scrap price before they crushed it. Does it run??

I'm constantly having the same thoughts as I search around for another project.

6 years ago I was buying running 67 short bed trucks for $500.00 with a title and nice frame , As long as guys are going to keep paying crazy money it will continue to climb . Saturday I saw a long bed 68 V8 auto beat and banged sitting in a local muffler shop, So I stopped to ask who owned it , The shop manager did and after talking for a bit he asked what I thought it was worth and I told him $3,000 since it ran and was titled . He told me he had $5,000.00 in it after just installing the new $2,000.00 22" wheels . :smoke:

Looked at a '71 3/4 ton the other day that the owner was willing to 'let it go' for 5500. Needed about 2500 to get it running and stopping. Plus rims and tires

In the dicription he says it does. He also put a starter in it. and a few other genral maintenance things. By no mean making it worth that much. I rebuild the rear brakes on mine so that'd an exta $1000 right? Only cost like $50 bUT laber.

It got totally out of control. I can find a survivor 70 L78 Chevelle SS for less than what some of these trucks are being advertised at. Nice tri-5 Chevy's are less, the list goes on and on.

Every time I look at the parts board and see what people are asking for parts I just shake my head. I realize that NOS is getting more and more hard to find, but $450 for door handles!? Someone always buys it though, so you can't argue it is too high I guess. Wish I had finished mine 10 years ago when I started it...LOL

I think the seller must be a religious person and took the Bible Verse " Ask and you shall receive " to heart..

This post begs me to ask just what is a unmolested long bed with little to no rust actually worth to someone on our site ? I know everyone wants a short bed but are they really ever available for reasonable $. I’m not using the 71 much and hate to see it just sit.:metal:

I would love to see the SPID. Was it a factory option for full trim on the drivers side and none on passenger?

A corollary of the Barrett-Jackson pricing model is trucks with high prices because 5 years ago a guy at the gas station said he would trade a new truck for it. It was all talk and now the owner will not reasonably look at truck values and put a logical price on it.
A square body for sale 2 blocks from me dude said a guy from Phoenix told him on the phone it was worth $5000 (sight unseen). Still sitting 3 years later and still not worth $2500.
I wish on actual craigslist sales it is possible to see the final price after all the nonsense is over and wife says to get it out of the front yard.

Just saying this to distract you guys and get first dibs on the sweet camper shell....

This sounds like a Camaro thread 15 years ago ...

I was posting " Buy them while their cheap boys" 6 years ago . Every body keeps saying "They made millions of them " Who cares if you chop it up , Well hows that working for ya now ? 5 years from now you'll be paying top $ for total restoration candidates . And a repo bed will cost $4,000.00 . It's a good time to smile if you already have yours .:chevy:

I did not even notice the lack of trim on the one side. Haha. I kinda whant the topper too. But it's missing one of the bubble windows.

Maybe 200.00 and it will sell. The only piece of non rusted straight sheet metal I see is the glove box door
