Gotta rewire the truck, any good reference sites?

Hey guys/gals! How goes it?

Anyways, the electrical issues are starting to build up in the truck (no dome light, no underdash light, no box light, lights coming on and off in the instrumentation, stereo blown, horn fused on, no reverse lights and my cruise doesn't work) and I figure its time to get busy and rewire that thing to fix some of the hacking that my uncle did. What I need is a couple of diagrams for it, I checked that online chiltons site, but those diagrams are next to impossible to read becuase they are so badly shrunk.

Its a 1980 C2500 2WD LWB, Sierra Classic with the 5.7 L V8.

How much does it cost?

Hmm, 20 dollars I can afford, for some reason I thought it was more like 70...

The harness isn't too bad, its quite saveable, just that he has lots of wires that he cut too short and added on to them, without covering the connections and stuff, I just want to finish those connections properly, and clean things up a bit. Thanks for the offer though!

Rewiring can be fun and easy

My claim to fame is I'm a very good electrician. Wiring new or old can be very easy. There are a few rules to follow.
Wiring can be modified many times with no effect. Wire size should not be reduced. The best connections are made with a soldering gun, solder and shrink tube. PVC tape will work on a connection but will fail after a time because of hot, cold or water. Glass fuses are the best for circuit protection but the most difficult to find the correct size when needed. The modern ata fuses are great. Even better is aircraft manual reset circuit breakers. Auto reset circuit breakers can start a good fire. Most electrical fires destroy lots of wiring. Ya cannot have too many ground connections. Some wires have smoke inside, and when not connected properly, the smoke comes out....hahahaha Disconnect the battery when making any wiring changes or repair. The number one reason for alternator failure.... poor battery post connections, next is poor grounds...

Also know as the fire starter.

I'm a good electrician too, just one that likes to know what wires are what... I always use solding, with some PCV tape, don't have any shrink tube around here...
