Differing Metals

I went to install the exhaust on my daughters pickup tonight. I noticed that we have Stainless Steel Headers, galvanized steel exhaust pipe, and Aluminum Mufflers. Will this cut the life of this exhaust system ? Dielectric Analysis ?

Never thought about it.....never seen any issues because of it either....I've run ss headers ,galv muff pipe,and ss mufflers for yrs...never had a issue

The operating environment (weather conditions) will have more of an effect than galvanic reaction. If it is really a concern, I usually have my exhaust ceramic metallic coated (inside and out).
