Bed mounting holes
 

So I am getting a cucv frame ready to accept my 75 c30's body and I seem to be missing the second set (starting at the rear of the cab) of bed mounting holes on the frame for the bed. Is this normal?

Just looked at my CUCV. The 2nd set of bolt heads is about (by eyeball) 1.5 feet behind the 1st set. A fair bit wider spacing then the 2 sets at the rear of the bed.

if the box is already on the truck, you prob can't see them as their hidden behind a crossmember. these are usually the big long bolts if you bought a bed bolt kit.

Mine are 2 ft apart in the front where as on my c30 frame they are 11 inches apart.

I'll take a look again. I did get two longer bolts in my body lift kit and it wasnt readily apparent as to where they went.

The 11 inches matches what my 75 C10 has at the front. Don't know if the CUCV beds were different because military, or a 84~86 K30 thing. I had always thought the beds were pretty much interchangeable between like bed style trucks.

Maybe just set the new bed on the frame, stab the 6 bolts that match and mark and drill the two needed holes.

Yeah I'm gonna do that, I really shouldnt worry about it.:lol:

There are 2 different bolt patterns for that 2nd set of bolts.

Yeah I had a friend measure the front set of bolts on his mid 80's square and it matched up with the holes in my frame. Nothing a drill bit cant fix though.
