Clutch pedal
 

I was curious if any of you have a firewall hung clutch pedal. If so, how did you do it and do you have any photos?

I've been pondering the same for my 57 build too.

No photos, but I found a couple videos that will give you some food for thought. This first video show a fellow installing a firewall mounted brake master, and he gives part #'s too for the Wilwood install on a 55-57.

This second video shows a Wilwood Brake and Clutch pedal setup which is universal. It reinforces the firewall for added support with a kit or you can plate the firewall yourself. Yes the video shows an install for a Mustang but this should work for our trucks too. I really like the adjustability of the brake setup! It is also fairly priced if you hunt around.

Finally with a proper brake setup there will be no need for a Hydroboost or needed vacuum source for Power Brake Booster.

I have one that has already been removed from a 58.
I can take a pic tomorrow and post it for you.
I find it quite interesting.

Here are the pics. While taking the photos, i realized this is a brake pedal. However, it gives me a great idea on how a clutch pedal could be made in a similar fashion (not as complicated) to do the correct job. The 4 bolt end mounts to the firewall and the two bolt holes end is made to be bolted to the underside of the dash.

On a '34 Ford I built I fabricated a dual bracket and used a '62 Chevy PU brake/clutch combo master cylinder. It was free standing, not connected to the dash. Worked really smooth.
