Re: Weird Style Neutral Safety Switch??
The replacement switches will have two or three extra terminals. Just install, adjust, plug in the connector, and go.

Re: Weird Style Neutral Safety Switch??
awesome thanks! this just functions as the neutral safety switch or reverse light switch?

Re: Weird Style Neutral Safety Switch??
I thought they handled both functions. Obviously yours only has one switch.

Re: Weird Style Neutral Safety Switch??
I just looked at the 1986 GM Light Truck CK10-30 wiring diagrams.
The column switch just handles the reverse lamps. There is no Neutral safety in the 1986 harness diagrams. The purple Circuit 6 wire goes directly from the CRANK terminal on the ignition switch, through the bulkhead plug, and on to the CRANK terminal on the starter. |

I just converted from auto to manual so I had all of that apart, and one of the plugs on that switch is the NSS even though it is not shown in the wiring diagram. This was on a 1987 R30. |
