Re: WTB a couple of wiring harnesses
Found a bulkhead connector, mainly after whatever the power doors used for a harness on the dash/fuse box side and some pigtails for adding accessories

Re: WTB a couple of wiring harnesses
Well...I can build it to suit...I assume you’re using something along the lines of an Electric Life window conversion or similar? Reverse polarity motors or self grounding? Either way, you’d be looking at around $125 or so for a custom center dash run for power windows-assuming also you want the windows relay supply powered and have leads for extending to the rear doors @ the kick panels.

If I’m understanding you’re not talking about individual door harnesses also? If not can you make factory replacement door harnesses also? I want everything as close to factory crew/suburban as I can get it. |
Re: WTB a couple of wiring harnesses
Oh I can build a full harness including doors although I’m not as well versed on the dimensions of 67-72 doors as I am 73-up but I can build a mockup locally for use with whatever hardware you are going with provided I have a few general mockup pics of your components installed on the door shell. Then you can opt for relay upgrade, auto down or auto down/up, etc. Theres several ways to really build a nice harness upgrade well beyond what any other supplier can hope to offer.

Update randy hooked me up with one pigtail. Still would like 1 of each of the following slots:
Batt ACC Lamps Power |
Re: WTB a couple of wiring harnesses
So I have now found everything except the main power harness that connects all 4 doors to the fuse panel and would like the rear door harnesses also.

Re: WTB a couple of wiring harnesses
Ok....so the main center dash as well as the extensions and rear harnesses is $349 shipped.

Re: WTB a couple of wiring harnesses
So i was cruising eBay looking for random harnesses using different years and suburban. Found on accident a main body window harness for only $58 shipped.
Meaning now I’m down to the rear doors, asked gmachinz for a quote so everything may be found now |
Re: WTB a couple of wiring harnesses
And the hunt is over for now. Letting everyone know the square s10 blazer rear harness uses the same connectors at the doors and that’s what I got a steal on today. Lock and window plugs are different but all that will be changed

Re: WTB a couple of wiring harnesses
I have power window switch plugs i believe from rear doors of a suburban available.

Re: WTB a couple of wiring harnesses
I also have a question for any power window experts out there.
I have a complete power window/lock setup removed from a 78 GMC and i am going to put it in a 79 GMC. My question is, Are my original manual regulator channels attached to the door glass the same as power ones? Or does power windows require different ones? i ask this because i didnt save the glass from the parts truck. I believe they should all be the same on these 73-80 GM trucks but i recently discovered that chevy van manual/power glass tracks are not inter changeable so now i am curious about the trucks, any help would be appreciated. thanks |

Re: WTB a couple of wiring harnesses
Just reviewed my harnesses, it looks like the window motor connector, and door window switch connector on the rear of the S 10 blazer is the same as the rear of a crew cab or suburban. Only difference is the lock actuator connector depending on year. So it looks like I just need two connectors for the locks and I’ll probably buy those new now
