cab weight?

does anyone know how much a cab for a 72 c-10 weighs ? I'm fixin' to lift my cab so I can shorten frame, and want to know if my shop'x rafters will hold it. doors will be off.

A bare cab is less than 200 lbs. All the interior parts add up real quick, probably 400 lbs without doors. Most of the weight is in the firewall, so make sure you consider that before you start lifting. Run a good 10' 4x4 across 4 of the rafters to spread the load and you should be fine.

I got it off, alone and no lift - did it by myself boy it's heavy! getting it back on is my next problem ( after I finish the frame)
