My truck is in a container headed overseas to be part of the first ever auction in Riyadh Saudi Arabia, they have spent millions on this event and expect a large turn out. www.globalautosalon.com

It's already headed overseas? Well, I guess that means it's going to sell no reserve? A gutsy move, Kelvin, considering all you've put into it. Good luck!

What do you need it to bring?

That is really interesting. Are you going there too. Let us know how it turns out. Maybe it will be on TV. Motor Trend is one of the sponsers.

It has a reserve but all told it will easily hit it.

Never offered more than 45 here so if it makes 60 I will be happy.

Yes, I am going to go and watch, millions of dollars are going into this event , I would be surprised if it is not televised.

No idea what appeals to the Saudi market, but I sure hope the auction house can pump up the importance of a correct restoration with NOS parts vs a cheesy re-do and aftermarket BS.

I'm guessing $115,000. There is a lot of money over there and it is a really nice truck. Let us know what it goes for. Good Luck with the sale!

I’d love to see these trucks stay in the USA. I love foreigners too. Just a peeve

Curious to watch how your factory stock OE style truck is received at this auction. Most of the listed "celebrities" that will be there to attract attention have TV shows that feature heavily modified vehicles that are slapped together in a few weeks. In fact, several of those shows (in my humble opinion) showcase horrible taste and have no clue about restraint. My guess is not a single host would know what a correct hose clamp looks like, or could care less if a hubcap was a repro or original.
Maybe your truck would be a better fit if you had added some purple flames, a hood scoop, slicks, and side pipes. I could be wrong, and I hope I am. Just sayin.

I agree, the caliber of this vehicle is not a common scene on US auction blocks. There's not much to compare it to historically, so no one can really set a price to it. An auction buyer, who might be looking for your typical car offerings as an investment, will probably see for the first time, the value and looks of an excellent factory correct restored '65 C 10, and when it is compared to the majority of overpriced 2 door cars ( not the quality of this C10 ) , come away with a bargain and the seller should see a nice profit as well.

I agree 100%. I like watching some of those shows, but they definitely don't care if it is repop versus NOS OEM.

I am hoping it goes to a museum, which is really where it belongs, the TV guys are bringing 40-50 vehicles out of 400. I am thinking it will bring well over 100K which will pay for the 1000 hours + of labor in it.

That is great restoration you did on that truck. Good luck on your sale and hope it brings a BIG NUMBER.

I hope it goes to someone who appreciates it's restoration. It's back better than original!
Hate it going out of country. Maybe someone with deep pockets brings it back home.
At any rate, one of the best restorations of a '64-'66 truck! Great job.

Re: What will it bring!

Strangely enough, there apparently is a pretty big vintage Chevy pickup scene in the middle east! I only know because I've seen it on Instagram! A bunch of dudes in turbans and robes with lines of impeccably restored/preserved square bodies is what I've mostly seen. All bone stock. Lots of 3/4 tons too! I was flabbergasted when I first saw it and thought it must be some kind of joke but now I realize it's a thing over there. They must've had exposure to American vehicles in decades past, which doesn't surprise me. I suspect you will do very well on this auction. I suspect money is less of an obstacle over there, lol.
