Skyjacker Suspension Lift Kits C225AJKS
 

Put in new springs on my Jimmy and it seems like it really jacked up the rear more than 2". I talked to Skyjacker and they said it will settle. I kept the bolts loose, anybody else have this problem?

If your old springs were sagging it will lift it more than 2”. I put a 3” kit on mine and it’s much taller than my old stock springs.

Have the same issue with a 4 inch lift. Makes it hard to drive because it nose dives when you put the brakes on. I am taking them off and having them de arched to lower the whole truck. Mine had and older lift with blocks in the rear. New lift made it much higher

I replaced the old springs on mine with the Skyjacker 4" lift as well. Compared to the old springs it raised it significantly. I can't confirm or deny handling because I've been battling steering issues before and after the lift. I'll have to say that the truck did settle a little and I love the looks with 35" tires. My wife hated it until I installed the repo steps so she could get in it.

If you can tell the difference, the pic to the left was with the old springs and it sagged pretty bad in the rear.

I’ll mention I don’t have skyjacker springs. I had custom springs made from off-road designs. I also have a -1” spring on the rear since I went with a shackle flip. The shackle flip gives 4” of lift. It’s still an overall 3” lift but my old springs we’re sagging and I was a bit surprised how much taller it is. I have 33” tires.

I can't remember why I went with what I did, but I was paranoid of getting to low of a lift and rubbing as well as going too high and looking stupid. It took a while but I am happy with it. I definitely did not/do not possess the knowledge of Blazerowner and others with the flipping of shackles and such, so I went with the simplest thing I knew. A 3" would probably be perfect, but I didn't' know how to.
Suspension wise mine rides good.

We put a Rough Country 4" on my kids Jimmy. The rear raised it 6 1/2" or so. The shocks that came in the kit were WAY too short and the driveshaft in the truck wouldn't come close to reaching.

They thought I had received wrong springs and sent another set that were identical.

I bought a 2" lift set of springs which did not have an overload. I disassembled one of the 4" sets and used the overload and the angle adjustment block. Truck now sits perfectly level and shocks and driveshaft fit as designed.

Sitting on the driveway on the spring eyes with the bolt up and all three springs together, the 2" springs were just a bit more than 2" taller while the 4" springs were 6.5".

My own Jimmy has 4" Rancho fronts and a set of 4" springs I added to the rear circa 1990. The newly fabbed spring set we used measures the same from top of spring to bump stop pad as the ones on my truck.

I could tell it was too high when we had the body off the frame but figured it would come down with the driveline in and the tub installed. It might have but not enough to tell.

I have a Skyjacker 4" kit, but 3/4 ton springs for about 18 years now. Sitting on 33's. Don't recall much settling....

I put a Skyjacker soft ride 2.5 inch lift on my K10 back in the day and everyone thought it was a four.

Pretty sure those are super hoops. Just need to find the right one for our trucks.
