X2! They seem to hold up much better than the painted covers. From my research, they are only found on some '63's, but not all. An early in the model year promotional thing, for the new more economical E series, at some assembly plants.

So are these a wrap over the paint? I always thought that if gm painted this on it would be on a higher trim not economy.

Well he didn't disappoint. But before I show you the photo I will give you the backstory. 42 years ago my dad had a 62 Chevy c20 with a gmc bed, its 235 6 was pulled out needing a rebuild, it sat in the field behind our home and I would pretend to drive it when I was 8 years old. It was missing 2 hubcaps on 15 inch 8 lug split rims. Asked dad if we could fix the truck up and my first thought was to find 2 more hubcaps. Couldn't find any and then one day some house had some in its flower bed for decorations. We stopped and the guy wouldn't sell them and at 8 years old I discovered the difference between 8 lug caps an 6 lug caps. Long story short we never got the truck running and never found caps but I always wanted a truck with those caps. Fast forward a month ago I told my my younger brother that it would be cool to have those caps on the k20 I am building. He 10 years younger wasn't aware of the quest . Well 2 days ago he came to my house 2 hours away for a cruise and brought a set of four and surprised me. Thank you

Really cool that you guys have the shared interest in these trucks and both of them are looking good. I'm not a lowered 2wd guy myself but these trucks look great to me lifted or lowered unless they are dragging the bumpers type of low.
