Identifying wiring connector - stop lamp switch?
2 Attachment(s)
My 1988 Chevrolet V30 was originally a L19 TBI, however the previous owner swapped in a crate 454 motor and went with the carburetor setup instead so there was some modifications done to accommodate this.
They swapped out some of the wiring inside the cab and I came across this connector underneath the dash last week. I have been going through and rewiring everything to the factory connections on the fuse block. Originally I thought it was for the fuel selector switch, however after looking at the wiring diagrams I do not think it is (also my fuel selector switch has green wires running to it). The only connector I found that had a purple and pink/blk wire running to it was the "Stop Lamp Switch", but it looks like that was only for the L05 setup (small block 350). Can anyone tell me what this connector is suppose to go to? Thanks again. |

Re: Identifying wiring connector - stop lamp switch?
That looks like its for the torque converter clutch for a 700r4. Unlocks when the brakes are applied. Maybe the dash harness was swapped out at one point and used one from an earlier model carbed 350?
