It is the future in some respects. It is good to see that Chevrolet chose the platform that they did and I like some of the mods to the truck. Going to have to look at the body mods more closely. I really like the bed cover.

When I finish my truck, I will use it as a truck...With the batteries in the bed it is no longer a useful truck.

I think as a concept it is great, but as stated, the bed is filled with the batteries and makes the bed useless, but than again, the trend for lowered/slammed trucks makes the bed nearly useless too.

I think what is being missed in all this is that the truck project is to show case the connect and cruise electric package in development. This project is to show case the option of building an electric hot rod. In typical hot rodder fashion they put more motors and more batteries than it needed. It is built as a show piece and like all the other show trucks out there the only thing going in the bed is a cleaning towel.

Maybe that's it...maybe I am not a "hotrod" guy and I'm OK with that. I know everyone has their own taste and do their own mods. I would never lower a truck or turn a LWB into a SWB. I admire the skills it takes to do it, but it isn't for me. And I know some people look at my build and cringe...we all build our trucks for us and no one else. I have no problem with that.

I appreciate what Chevy did and really think it is cool they chose our platform, but to call this a truck isn't genuine. It is a 2-3 seat vehicle for show not function. Would they sell a lot of "trucks" with no capabilities to haul things? Maybe, but not to me.

The definition of Truck is a large, heavy motor vehicle used for transporting goods, materials, or troops.

I guess it is transporting batteries. :)

But I do think it is a cool concept, just not practical for me or the working class. If they are truly going to build an E truck, I would love to know where they hide all the batteries so it will be a truck, not just a hotrod "truck".

I read several articles and didn't see a curb weight either.

Never fear Chevy thought of that...with speakers that make V8 sounds! Truly what hotrodders want! :D

It's not that I like this, I guess I'm glad to see it because there is a real possibility of our hobby being legislated out of existence in the foreseeable future. I'd love to pass on my truck to my boy, this might be the only way he can enjoy it.

I think it’s cool! Electric motors can put out amazing power Pretty much instantly torque is crazy. I think it’s great to use the truck, BUT if I was Chevrolet and I was going to SEMA I would want my hood to line up with my Cowel
I think it was a cool idea But lacking in talent and Vision who uses bedliner at SEMA !?
