Battery Cable questions

I have searched and have seen several answers. What length are the positive and negative battery cables for a 350 SBC in a 65. Battery will be in OEM location.

I have read 63" for the positive and 36" for negative with it grounded to the engine block. Are these correct lengths? And is that the wire length or from end of terminal to end of terminal?

I am thinking of buying this battery cable. 2 gauge wire.
Batterycablesusa.com

I would measure but I don't have the radiator support attached to the truck or the battery box attached to that yet.

Thanks

Thanks Joe. Even on the rockler website it shows 2 different lengths...one is 63" and the other is 51". That is strange to me...I think standard in our trucks were top mounted posts...so shouldn't it be one length?

I only see the 51" listed

I also have seen the other post where someones book said 63" positive and 30" negative

id go with the 61" to be safe...if its too long, you could always cut to lenth and solder on a new lug

Re: Battery Cable questions

Definitely rather have too long than too short.

I just noticed if I click the part # on the cables at rockauto...the 63" shows for 1960-1967 C10. The 51" just says Chevrolet 1960-1970...no specific model. The ACDelco also gives me a cross reference OEM part # of 88860053.

So I would think it should be 63". Same for the negative cable...of 36" ACDelco gives an OEM part #'s of 4F36N, 88860043, 89020239.

Thanks
