Best 2/4 lowering kit, best wheel/tire combo
Looking to lower my 86 Silverado and get new wheels and tires. Is everyone putting on 18’s or 20’s ?? I like the look of the 8 inch front 10 inch wide rear wheels but have no clue as to tire size for my c10. Don’t want no skinny sidewalls. Any suggestions appreciated

2" drop springs, unless you can find 2" Spindles, for the front. You can easily find 2.5" spindles and it would work fine for a bit of rake. Drop shackles with the front hanger drop would be a pretty standard static drop for the rear.
You could do a staggered 8" and 10" no problem with the right backspacing, likely 4" front and 5" rear. Tires I am not certain about but your overall height would be in the 28"-29" range probably. |

My truck is a 2/4 drop. Although I can’t help with the drop part, it was already done by the PO. Again, the PO had 20’s. I didn’t like the skinny tire, nor did I like the wheels. So recently I got 18” with more a little more rubber. I like they way it looks now. There are a few guys that know all the technical things about drops, wheels and tires. All I can show you is what my truck looks like, Before & After of the wheels and tires, and how it look likes with my drop. My new tire size, 265/65R18
