Whetherstip QUESTION....

I'm looking to replace the whetherstrip in my Blazer. Who makes the best quality whetherstrip? Also, are there kits that include just about all the whetherstrip?

Any help would be great!

I am interested in this too! I bought door weatherstripping from www.truckandcarshop.com , but haven't installed it yet. Looks quality tho' ---I am going to be getting all of the other weatherstripping from Frank (Pickmup) in the next few weeks. I live close to him, so I save on shipping.

like Blazin i got mine from truckandcarshop for my 71' Lb and i think (only did it once) that it was very good quality. I actually had to put muscle into closing the doors.

Another one that bought it from the truckandcarshop place, havent installed it yet but it looks pretty good. Damn stuff, to replace everything its in the $500 range, ouch.

yeah, lmc has the cheaper price but it might also be the cheaper quality. don't know YET. i am going to cheap out this time around and go through LMC just because i am going to be sealing more then just the doors. i need to do the top and get all of the window felt and what not.

I just got done looking at the truckandcarshop page and noticed that their door strip does not include the very top piece. The place were there are three screws. This is all one piece is it not. I think it is that way in the LMC manual.

I bought mine from Wes at Classic Heartbeat. Good quality, good service

The door weatherstripping from the carandtruckshop that I bought is all one piece. I was looking in all the other suppliers catalogs and theirs are 2 piece.

Is it one piece and incluce this piece at the top or is it seperate? This is all one piece originally, correct? Just trying to clear it up
Thanks

Gee_Emm 12-08-2003 11:09 AM

The piece on the top should be attached to all of them, the 2 piece part is whether the whole thing is one piece of if the back door area is seperate. I cant tell if the one in the pic is 2 piece or not because the bottom of the pic is cropped out.
