16.5" hubcaps on 16" wheels

I am sure this has been discussed before, but I searched and didn't find exactly what I am wanting to know. I found a set of 16" wheels from an '84 single wheel 1 ton 4x4, and I want to put them on my 76 C20. My question is will the factory hubcaps from the 16.5" wheels work on the factory 16" wheels? I don't want to change the wheels if I can't use the factory dog dishes. Thanks for any knowledge anyone can share.
