S10 steering wheel dirrect swap?

Thinking about swapping an S10 wheel into my 79 k10.
Looks like this:

Anybody ever swap to one of these? Looks like [pretty much] the same column.
Is this a direct swap?

Thanks, in advance

Re: S10 steering wheel dirrect swap?

Swapped one in from a Blazer to replace the wheel in my 75 that developed the sticky goo problem. Get all of the horn button bits.

Most GM columns from that era are the same as far as wheel mounting. During my prowl of the yard looking for replacement wheels, tested one from a period Pontiac. It would have mounted and physically worked but had a square base instead of a round one.
