Door handles
4 Attachment(s)
I was working on my daughters truck today when I had a idea. That's scary thought huh!
Well I been thinking and decided to try it on a old set of handles I have. The handles have been broke for awhile know. The normal breakage of the button. So I blasted them in the parts blaster. Then I took a wire wheel to the button and the flat on the out side handle. I'm thinking either body color for the rest of the handle are maybe the Chrome paint in a can you buy. Leave the button and flat as is. I also blasted the inside door handles and then wire wheeled them also. They will be cleared as is. I show the button fix next.:chevy: |

Here is a trick for fixing broke outside door handles I learned this here a long time ago from jmader post.
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=693760 I have fixed I guess 5-6 pair of handles since I saw it. You buy a length of 1" square tubing and cut it in 1.5" length's then cut that in half. Pry the handle open enough to insert it and drill 4 rivet holes and rivet it in place. Your done. Your handles will never break again.:metal: |
