Was driving through a small town and saw this. Guy was taking it to iron so he let me look around. I bought the console, bezel and rear seats. Fun morning. Never noticed a pattern in those door trim pieces but have not been around older ones much. Was a pretty well optioned truck.

A couple questions.

How does that trim ring on door panels come off? Does door panel need to be removed? Just getting ready to go remove tomorrow.

Also. There is a piece screwed to the passenger rear floor right behind the passenger seat. Metal with a rubber piece about 2 inches tall. Is this some type of guard for something. I don’t remember it being in my Cheyenne but it is 3 hours away from me so can’t check. Any help appreciated.

Grab the wiper switch and module that connects to it as well as the gauge cluster if they are still there. The chance of being able to save the door panel trim ring is slim to none as the pins will tend to break off.

The door cards have to come off. You might break the pins off or you might not. If you take care you can remove them but they are mounted through the door card.
The power window and lock wiring harness along with the electric motor window regulators and power lock motors are worth something.

Yes, removing them without breaking off the plastic stud pins (which are molded as part of the trim) can be tricky. Simply trying to unscrew the speed nuts will usually result in twisting off the pins. Using pliers to grip the protruding end of the pin to prevent it from twisting while using a wrench to remove the nuts will decrease the chance of breaking them.
