Spark plug wires
What are you using for plug wires on these trucks with a pointless distributor off a newer truck? I bought wires for a 77 truck, but they don't work that well. The distributor cap is too close to the firewall for some of the wires to point in the right direction. That makes the wires too short to run around the back and sides of the engine like they are supposed to. Likewise, the 90 degree boot at the plugs won't let the wires go up and over the manifold, but the wires are too short to point the boots downward. It's a carbuerated 350 in a '65 c20. The distributor is from a '77 or so.

Re: Spark plug wires
I used plug wires that fit a 74 corvette. They fit great with my stock ram horns and are the necessary wire size for the HEI

Re: Spark plug wires
I ordered 2 sets of ACDelco 628M wires and used the longest wires (I DETEST making my own wires). They were cheap enough (about $25/set that it wasn't too painful). I toss a couple of the medium length wires into the toolbox in case I burn a wire, etc out on the road.

Re: Spark plug wires
If you look on Summit Racing, some sets specify under manifold, over manifold, over valve cover.
