Chesapeake VA

I am going to be making a trip to Chesapeake VA in a few weeks and would like to explore a few salvage yards while I am in the area. does anyone know which yards in that area might have some older vehicles to pick parts from?

I suppose that means there are not many folks on here from that area...

It could be that. I'm not, so couldn't say for sure. But it seems to me that tidewater of VA might not have too much in the way of junkyards. Your best bet might be doing a Yellow Pages search for Auto Parts - Used and contact the listings to get the lowdown. If they aren't yards, ask if they know of any. You are doing the right thing by searching for info in advance

It's been about 35yrs so 1/2 or more are probably gone, best bet search for scrap yards and recyclers . Include Norfolk, Virginia Beach etc Call or goggle results and make a list. There were some good 1's, and I bet you can still find parts your looking for.

If you find some post up in this thread. I'm in northern VA and my folks have a place in Williamsburg so I'm down that direction a decent amount. I know there are few in the Richmond area but that's another 2 hours-ish north. There's a decent sized one in Chesterfield and one even further up 95 in Massaponix/Fredericksburg

i live in Chesapeake VA, i'll see if I can find something for ya, but honestly Yelp is your best bet. Most folks I know go to "pick-n-pull".
