Coils interchangeable?
 

Are round and square coils interchangeable? Looking to diagnose a misfire by replacing half the coils with some spares.

Are the plugs the same?...I thought I had a set of round coils but I dont..

I think the plugs are the same, but they have different mounting holes. I just replaced all 4 with harness and bracket. That didn’t solve my misfire. Turns out the spark plugs were cracked. I must have done that during the swap.

Replaced the cracked spark plugs and the misfire codes went away, gas mileage went up, no more shake or shake on acceleration. But if I pull up the misfire counter I see that misfires are being detected. There aren't enough to set a code. Is it normal? How would I fix this?

I changed the spark plug wires all the way around, ran some fuel injector cleaner, and I changed the oil. Thats about it.
