I wonder if you are searching for the wrong thing. The cast iron three groove water pump pulley is for 327's in 1966. Not used on 283's in 65. In 65, the 283 used a second shallow add-on pulley over the stock single groove pulley to add AC, but even that has nothing to do with you adding power steering to your truck. So unless you are adding factory AC, you don't even need that one. I don't have a shallow water pump pulley for a 283, but do have the cast iron 1966 327-only AC one, but if you didn't know already, you should be sitting down when anyone prices one because they are super rare to find and expensive as a result. The shallow 283 pulley is cheap but also hard to find

Hello GMCnut

I have a factory ac car. 1965 Chevy C10. I am taking out the 350 and putting in a 327 engine in place of the 350 engine. I am also adding power steering to the mix. Unfortunately I have a complete set up from a mid 70’s truck. Unfortunately I had to buy all the correct pulleys. The ones I have now are for long water neck pump. They don’t seem to line up well. I decided since I have most of the original ac parts that came with the truck. I wanted to put it back to factory look. I had good advice from 60-66, LT1 Burb. I decided to back to somewhat factory original. I have all the correct pulleys. Expect for the water pump pulley.
3791943 Power steering pulley.
3765386 Pulley cast iron crank
3831397 Pulley steel crank

I figured it wasn’t and easy item to find. Since no one responded back to me accept for you.
I would like to hear how much your want for the pulley if it’s for sale.
Thanks
Pete

Pete, the 327-specific pully is one of the rarest items you can ask someone to produce, and no matter who prices one, you will feel like you are getting price gouged. They are just plain ridiculously high. So, that said, I have to get $250 for it but if its any consolation, that does include shipping
