Steering part coatings
When I redid the steering parts in my 66 I went with all Moog stuff and did everything right. The one thing I didn't do was put some kind of coating or paint or whatever on all the parts. Within a few months they looked like a bag of smashed assholes. With this new 64 I just got 'll e taking it down to the frame and all the steering parts will be new. What is everyone doing with them to keep them looking good? Paint, powder coat, shellac or what?

Re: Steering part coatings
Well ya paint, powder coat, shellac. It's you're preference, I painted mine. I will also after it's driving end up powder-coating them in time. It's all on how you want it to look (obviously can't powder-coat rubber).
I read recently that someone said powder-coat chips etc. well so does paint, so it's your preference. It's all good. :) |

Re: Steering part coatings
Powder coating doesn't work well on parts that have grease in them.
